I was just at a show with Hate Eternal, Soilent Green, Skeletonwitch and Toxic Holocaust, and quite a few people sporting the 80's resurgence look were there in force to support Toxic Holocaust and Skeletonwitch, but didn't stick around for Soilent Green and Hate Eternal, although the very few with tight jeans swoopy hair did. The best way I've found to lure people to the dark side is to never call any band bad, but to throw a little bit of charm their way and push something just a little bit heavier than the bands they typically listen to. Emo kids and nu-metal fans might not give up their what their doing, but at least they'll give the working band a chance. Just ask Alex Webster about hooking metalcore fans up with Cannibal Corpse.
